Application method: For individual parts:
1. NOTE: Ttape 1000A is difficult to handle as a freestanding material so it is not recommended to try and remove
both liners before application.
2. Remove liner from one side of the pad. One liner should be consistently easier to remove so remove that liner first.
3. Align the pad on the mounting surface. Apply finger pressure across the entire surface of the pad to remove any
trapped air.
4. Allow at least 1 to 2 minutes dwell time to allow the pad to wet the surface of the component. During this dwell
time the adhesion improves. Once the material has wetted the surface it cannot be re-positioned.
5. Remove the top liner. It is not recommended to lift the liner manually as this can damage the part. The
second/top liner can be removed easily by using a piece of tape as a tab to lift an edge.
How to Remove for Rework:
Begin removal with plastic spatula, edge of tongue depressor, or other sharp-edged object that wont damage underlying
component. Once an edge is lifted, material is highly cohesive and usually be rolled up on itself. Another piece of Ttape
can also be used to help lift material. Once Ttape is rolled off component, any remaining residue can be cleaned with
isopropyl alcohol and a clean lint-free rag.
Storage:
Material should be stored in a clean dry place (<70%RH) at a temperature between 4°C and 29°C.
Shelf Life:
12 months for date of shipment
