1.1 Summary

A. This Specification def ines the e lectr ical an d mec hanica l charac t eristics a nd requir eme nts for the FirstLine P Ser ies Precision

Power Conditioner (PPC) as manufactured by Staco Ener gy Pr oducts Co. locat ed in D ay ton/Miamisburg, OH .

B. The PPC shall a continuous dut y ; three-phase, Precision Power Condit ioner system, hereafte r refer red to as the PPC designed to

operate wit h the building supp l y to pr ov ide conditioned pow er for the cr itical loads.

1.2 Qualifications

The manufacturer shall hav e a minimu m of 20 years’ experience in the de sign, ma nufacture, and testing of solid-state

transistorized PPC systems of similar c apacity .

1.4 System Description

A. The PPC shall be a true double conversion, “On-Line” system consist ing of th e follow ing m ajor compon ent s :

1. Rectifier complete with power factor correction

2. PWM Inverter utilizing IGBT’s (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor)

3. Continuous duty rated Static Switch

4. Input Isolation switch (SWIN)

5. Output Isolation switch (SWOUT)

6. Maintenance Isolation switch (SW MB)

7. Bypass Isolation switch (SWBY)

8. Internal Maintenance Bypass

9. DSP Control and Monitoring Panel with Graphic display

Warranty

A. PPC Warranty

The PPC warranty shall be in effect for 24 mont hs after initial start-up but no more t han 30 months after shipment, whichever

occurs first. The warranty shall cover all parts and labor for units commissioned by manufacturer’s approved service

representative.
