Declaration of Conformity
REACH / SVHC
On June 1, 2007, European Union Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 went into effect. This Regulation is
intended to ensure consistency in the Regulation, Evaluation, Authorisation, and registration of
CHemicals (“REACH”).
Annex XIV Substances
The substances currently regulated by REACH are listed in Annex XIV of the Regulation
https://echa.europa.eu/authorisation-list, which includes 43 substances.
Candidate List for SVHC
The European CHemicals Agency (“ECHA”) publishes a candidate list of REACH chemicals
known to have serious effects on humans and the environment, called Substances of Very High
Concern (“SVHC”), which will be gradually included in Annex XIV of the REACH Regulation.
The current list of candidates is found at http://echa.europa.eu/web/guest/candidate-list-table ,
attached hereto as Exhibit 1, which includes 181 candidates.
Restrictions on Use
Annex XVII provides for restrictions on the use of certain substances or mixtures. These
restrictions apply to the end user of our products, and it is up to each user to verify compliance.
Except for Evaluation Boards, products produced by the company formerly known as Intersil
Corporation which are designated RoHS compliant or Pb-free/green do not contain any of the SVHC
or SVHC candidates listed above the regulatory threshold of 0.1% in our products nor does Intersil
import more than 1 tonne of SVHC into the EU per year. Therefore the requirement in REACH to
notify ECHA of products exceeding these limits is not applicable. Those products that are not
designated as RoHS compliant may contain antimony trioxide in the mold compound. The
information provided herein is subject to the Disclaimer found at https://www.renesas.com/en-
