Bright Silver and Bright Silver HSA pigments from VIAVI

The all-vacuum-metalized flake is produced by

depositing fine layers of magnesium fluoride and

aluminum on ultra-smooth PET film. Bright Silver

provides injection and extrusion molded applications

with the brightness of vacuum-metalized flake

technology combined with the excellent shear stability

of magnesium fluoride. Bright Silver is the only

vacuum-metalized flake suitable for plastic molding.

End-use applications include cosmetic and personal care

packaging, household appliances, consumer electronics,

and automotive top coats.

Formulation

No special equipment is necessary to incorporate SpectraFlair pigments, and there are no special techniques to

be learned. The pigments can be blended into various systems using conventional equipment. They can also be

blended with a variety of inorganic and organic pigments and dyes to create dramatic new effects.
