GeneSiC Semiconductor REACH Compliance
REACH stands for Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of
Chemical substances. This is a European Community Regulation on
chemicals and their safe use (EC 1907/2006). This law created on
December 18, 2006 went into effect on June 01, 2007.
GeneSiC Semiconductor is supportive of the scope and direction of REACH
which is to promote and progress the protection of human health and the
environment through careful examination of the properties of chemical
substances. GeneSiC Semiconductor is willing to supply our customers with
information about substances in our products as required. GeneSiC
Semiconductor meets all applicable REACH requirements. GeneSiC
Semiconductor’s products are “articles” as defined in REACH Article 3(3) and
do not release substances under their regular use. Suppliers of articles must
provide recipients with information on Substances of Very High Concern
(SVHC) if those are present above a concentration limit of 0.1% on an article
level.
GeneSiC Semiconductor products do not contain any of the
Substances of Very High Concern included through June 15, 2015
inclusive in its pure original form. These substances can be found at
the following link.
