Basic Characteristics/Ratings
The demand for SD / microSD memory cards,
which excel as storage devices for sensor
information in compactness and low power
consumption, is increasing with the rapid
progressing of the IoT. TLC and MLC type flash
memories are employed with products for
general consumers because of the demand for
low costs, but are mostly not used for industrial
applications because of durability and reliability
issues. TDK MMRD4/MURD4 Series are
high-speed UHS-I compatible SD/microSD
memory cards equipped with the high-durability
SLC/pSLC flash memory and the newly-devel-
oped SD controller GBDriverRD4. In addition to
data retention capability and durability, they
also excel in data reliability during power
interruptions so they can be used worry-free
with IoT devices which frequently shut down
due to low power consumption demands.
SD / microSD memory cards with support for high-reliability UHS-I,
drastically improving data reliability during power interruptions.
