1 Usage
Boshi ka OPT232S1 port powered RS - 232 to optic al single- fiber converter is used to
realize serial communication via single optical fiber, and extend the communication distance. With
optical fiber transmission medium, it prevent s electromagnetic interference, resistance to high
isolation voltage, lightning, etc. O ptic al f iber converter s are widely used in industrial process
control, distributed data acquisition, etc, especially power automation, traffic control and other
departments.
2 Hardware Installation
OPT 232S1 is RS-232 to single-fiber converter for bi-direction communication .Its shape is DB -9 /DB-
9 dongle size , only one ST fiber is needed . OPT 232S1 need s no power supply.
OPT232S1 divides into two kinds of models T3R5 and T5R3, T3R5 and T5R3 must be
used in pairs.
