MTWB – 16 Drop Termination Box

Features and Benefits

• For internal and external use.

• Supplied with four single element trays, each able to accommodate 24

splices.

• Splice protectors of 1.3mm to 2.2mm in diameter can be accommodated.

• Also compatible with crimp splice protectors.

• Facility to mount two splitters in the insert of the box and a further two

splitters on each splice tray (sacrificing splice positions).

• All fibres are positively managed to maintain a 30mm minimum bend

radius within the wall box.

• Can accommodate up to 16 SC type pigtails and adapters or 32 LC type.

• Pre-terminated drop cables can be sealed using split grommets supplied

with the box.

• Splice trays hinge upwards individually, allowing full access to spliced

fibres without disturbance to live fibres in adjacent trays.

• The box is suitable for Riser applications.

• Cables can enter / exit from the top or bottom face of the box.

• The box is sealed to IP55 and the boxes are moulded from UV stable

material to prevent discolouring.

• The boxes are made using flame retardant UL94-V0 rated materials.

The Medium Termination Wall Box (MTWB) is a wall mounted box used for the termination of fibres to customer

drop cables. The unit has a capacity of up to 96 fibre splices and can accommodate input cables of both butt and

in-line types. Up to 16 SC type pigtails and adapters or 32 LC type can be accommodated. Up to 16 pre-

terminated drop cables of 3-6mm in diameter, and two customer drop cables of 6-12mm in diameter, can be

distributed from the box. Drop cable grommets are used to seal the ports and are supplied with the box and

available as spares. The box can be supplied in white or dark grey and both units have an IP55 rating making it

suitable for internal or external use.
