PPG Aerospace is the leading and most experienced manu-
facturer of replacement windshields and side cockpit windows
for Bombardier Dash 8/Q-Series aircraft.
In keeping with its goal of being one source for operators’
aerospace maintenance needs, PPG now offers a single set
of flight-deck windows designed for all configurations of
the Dash 8/Q-Series: Q100, Q200, Q300 and Q400. Fleet
operators can consolidate transparency inventories for stock-
ing efficiencies.
PPG’s continuous improvement of the windshields has pro-
vided the industry with transparencies that are among the
longest performing and most reliable. The all-glass design
for the windshields is based on chemically strengthened
glass, which has been proven in field service for commercial,
regional jet and general aviation aircraft. The high strength-
to-weight ratio and optical clarity of the design meet the
challenging operating envelope for Dash 8/Q-Series aircraft.
The acrylic side cockpit windows are optimized for weight
to afford operating efficiencies.
In addition to supplying transparencies with demonstrated
performance and reliability, PPG Aerospace helps operators
lower their transparency maintenance costs and increase
their on-aircraft performance through enhanced maintenance
and Optimal Replacement Age programs. These custom-
designed programs enable operators to maximize the value
of PPG cockpit windows for Dash 8/Q-Series aircraft.

Surface Seal
®
Coating by PPG
The Surface Seal coating is available on all PPG windshields
for the Bombardier Dash 8/Q-Series fleet. The Surface Seal
hydrophobic coating dramatically improves the ability of the
windshields to shed water, providing the ultimate in visibility
for pilots during wet conditions.
When ordering your spare PPG windshields for
Bombardier Dash 8/Q-Series aircraft, ask for the Surface Seal
coating. The parts can be coated by the PPG professionals
at the factory before they ship, or the coating can be field
applied to windshields on in-service aircraft with Surface Seal
coating system kits. Ask your PPG representative for details.
