e C-Band BUC model numbering system is designed to provide unambiguous identi cation of
BUC variants and options.
e C-Band BUC options and variants include:
RF output power: 10 W and higher
RF output connector: WR137 waveguide or N-type coaxial
RF frequency band: Standard: 5.850 to 6.425 GHz or Extended: 5.850 to 6.725 GHz
Power supply: 18 to 60V DC, 48V DC or AC mains
Power connector: Via IF input N connector or external power connector
CE certifi cation: CE certifi ed or not certifi ed
e BUC model number format is shown below. e model number comprises the base model
number plus groups of option letters to show the particular options tted.
e rst group of digits speci es the basic BUC model and its RF output power rating, the
second group speci es the RF output options and the third group speci es the power supply
options. Finally, an additional character group is appended to indicate CE certi cation and/or
special variants or options, to be used if only if needed.
Not all possible model combinations are available even though those combinations may be valid
ones (e.g. the C-Band RBUCs are not available in a CE certi ed version). To assist with ordering,
the C-Band BUC models that are available are shown on the following pages.
Model Extension Variant
Special variants or options:
- Code allocated/use only as required
- LB for AC powered LBUCs
- NI for non-inverting BUCs
CE certifi ed (use only if CE certifi ed):
- CE for CE certifi ed version
- Proceed directly to special variants if not CE certifi ed
Power connector:
- EX for power fed via external connector
Operating voltage:
- 48 for 48 V DC powered
- DC for 18 to 60 V DC powered
- AC for AC powered
Frequency range:
- S for Standard band
- E for Extended band
RF output connector:
- N for N-type coaxial connector
- W for waveguide
Variant (use only if there is a variant):
- A letter representing RF output power rating (e.g. 20H to
designate 200 W instead of 20 W) or options such as L for LAN
RF output power:
- Two digits representing RF output power rating (e.g. 10 for 10 W)
Placeholder (“7” for C-Band)
Model Group:
- 4 for Mini-BUC
- 6 for MBUC & LBUC
- 7 for RBUC
