The OWMT-SOFT Windows
software shows trends, minimum
and maximum values and also
indicates alarms. All data collected
may be viewed graphically in real
time or as an historical display.
ASCII data logging to a file is also
available to allow import into other
programs such as spreadsheets
and data base programs. OPC
(OMWT-SOFT-OPC) and DDE
(OMWT-SOFT-DDE) server
software is also included.
OWMT-SOFT can be used to collect
data from a wireless network.
The OMWT-SOFT Windows
software currently supports the
following OMWT Series wireless
transmitters:
OMWT-TEMP15 Temperature
OMWT-TEMPRH Humidity
OMWT-AIN5V Analog 0 to 5 Volt
OMWT-AIN10V Analog 0 to 10 Volt
OMWT-AIN20MA Analog 4 to 20mA
OMWT-VIB Vibration
OMWT-MOT Motion
OWMT-SOFT is actually a DDE
client application that works in
concert with the included DDE
server application called
OWMT-SOFT-DDE.
OWMT-SOFT-DDE handles the
details of communicating or
receiving data from the wireless
sensors. OWMT-SOFT-DDE
verifies that the communication
is correct, processes the sensor
samples and then forwards the
data to the DDE client.
The OWMT-SOFT Windows
software is responsible for the
presentation and analysis of the
collected data.
The OMWT-SOFT Windows
software can receive data from up
to 100 of the OMWT Series wireless
sensors, however it can only display
data from up to six sensors at a
time. If more than six sensors need
to be displayed at any given time
then the included OMWT-SOFT-
OPC or OMWT-SOFT-DDE server
software can be used to transfer
data to other third party SCADA
software packages.
OMWT-SOFT-DDE is a data
acquisition Dynamic Data Exchange
(DDE) server that acquires data
from wireless devices and passes
this data using DDE to a client
application. OMWT-SOFT-DDE
waits for the device to transmit and
then processes the transmission.

Specifications
Operating Systems:
Windows 98/ME/NT/2000/XP
Real Time Graphing:
user selectable timebase and range
Historical Graphing:
user selectable periods,
zoom and pan
Numerical Display:
current readings, minimum
and maximum readings for each
channel, current trend, current
alarm status
Ordering Example: OMWT-SOFT Windows software for OMWT Series wireless transmitters,
$100.
OMWT-SOFT-OPC is a data
acquisition OLE for Process Control
(OPC) server that acquires data
from wireless devices and passes
this data using OPC to a client
application. OMWT-SOFT-OPC
waits for the device to transmit and
then processes the transmission.
Any Windows application that can
use DDE or OPC can obtain this
data from the OMWT-SOFT-DDE
or OMWT-SOFT-OPC servers.
Examples of such applications
include Microsoft Excel, Intouch,
Wonderware, LookOut, TestPoint,
and general development
applications like Microsoft Visual
Basic and Borland Delphi.
OMWT-SOFT-DDE or OMWT-
SOFT-OPC can be a stand-alone
data logger. When data logging is
enabled, OMWT-SOFT-DDE or
OMWT-SOFT-OPC will also store
collected data in an ASCII file at a
programmable interval. Another
program such as a spreadsheet
or a database manager can import
the data.
