Wireless Fixture Controls
The Limelight by Lutron radio sensor modules are
radio-frequency (RF) control devices integrated into
fixtures by OEMs. They control 0-10V electronic LED
drivers in exterior (outdoor) fixtures such as those in
parking garages and parking lots. They are often
connected to a PIR sensor assembly to receive motion
and daylight sensor signals. A Limelight Gateway is
required to enable wireless fixture controls and sensor
functions. A Limelight Gateway connects fixture controls
and sensors into a high performance wireless system.
Features
Fixtures can be grouped together to turn an entire floor
on at once to make sure parking areas have plenty of
light available.
Limelight by Lutron uses sensors to intelligently reduce
power consumption and will email monthly reports of
energy usage.
Radio Sensor Module is available with an internal
antenna (inside the enclosure) (LL-EN-INTMOUNT), or
with an output terminal for an external antenna (supplied)
(LL-EN-INTMOUNT-A). An external antenna version does
not require fixture RF validation.
Limelight by Lutron does not require wireless repeaters
and typical jobs are completed with a single gateway.
A cellular gateway option eliminates the need to get an
Ethernet connection.
Single sign-on for Lutron interior and exterior controls
when connected to Enterprise Vue.
Either an LL-EN-INTMOUNT or an LL-EN-INTMOUNT-A
control device is integrated into the fixture with an
(optional) LL-PIR sensor assembly.
Fully metallic fixtures generally integrate
LL-EN-INTMOUNT- A. Fixtures with considerable plastic
may use LL-EN-INTMOUNT.

Limelight by Lutron Enabled Luminaire
The Limelight by Lutron wireless radio sensor module
(RSM) is integrated into a variety of luminaires. Fixtures
with an integrated RSM can turn on/off and provide
dimming capability using 0–10 V. A Limelight by Lutron
enabled fixture requires no special communication
wiring or special installation instructions. Installation
is equivalent to a simple (non-Limelight) luminaire.
When AC (120 277 V~) power is applied, the fixture
powers up with a factory default setting of 100% light
output until the Limelight by Lutron commissioning
process begins.

Limelight by Lutron System Compatibility
Lutrons RSMs are compatible with the entire Limelight
by Lutron product line and can be designed into
Limelight systems with various modules. The same
High Density Mesh technology is shared across
Limelight by Lutron products allowing a network to be
created between all Limelight modules. A Gateway
serves as the communication hub between the
RSMs, other modules, and the Web User Interface. A
Gateway can support up to 800 modules. Additional
system details and other model numbers can be

Limelight by Lutron Radio Sensor Module (RSM)
Every RSM has a fully integrated wireless radio.
The radios use HDM (High Density Mesh) wireless
technology to ensure extremely reliable, long-range
performance in outdoor environments. These radios
provide:
A robust, redundant communications scheme.
Communication among multiple floors above or below
in parking facilities.
Each radio communicates to the “neighbor” radios
around it, creating a high-density mesh.
This redundant communications system enables
Limelight by Lutron to be self-healing. If a radio ever
stops functioning or is vandalized, the other radios will
immediately search out and establish communication
with other neighbors in the mesh. This high-density
mesh system enables the Limelight by Lutron control
system to operate smoothly even in the most difficult
conditions.
Motion Sensor: LL-PIR, a passive infrared motion
sensor, is an optional addition to OEM fixtures with
LL-EN-INTMOUNT and LL-EN-INTMOUNT-A
e
Maximizes motion sensor coverage.
e
Captures all sensing activity (time of day and
fixture number) in a centralized database for
activity reporting and analysis.
Daylight Sensor: Daylight harvesting capabilities are
supported.
e
Measures daylight every 15 minutes
(programmable).
e
Measures foot candles per fixture to analyze for
maximum harvesting capability.
