Bourns® Model SRN4018 Series Semi-shielded Power Inductors
Package Tape Carrier Modification
Riverside, California – December 22, 2021 – In the spirit of continuous improvement, effective January 1, 2022, Bourns will change the design of
the package tape carrier for the Model SRN4018 Series Semi-shielded Power Inductors. The design change will include strengthening ribs to the
carrier pocket to better protect the contained component from damage during freight transit and handling. The modification also includes a
longer tape leader and a slightly deeper carrier pocket. A list of affected part numbers follows.

Modied Package Tape Carrier:
The form, t and function of the inductor will not change as the result of these changes to the package tape carrier. The quality and reliability of the inductor should be improved
with these changes to the package tape carrier.
Samples of the modied package tape carrier will be available upon request starting January 2, 2022.
Implementation dates are as follows:
Date that existing package tape carrier will cease: January 1, 2022
Date that modied package tape carrier will begin: January 2, 2022
First date code using the above changes: 2201
