We appreciate your use of CUI products. Our commitment in maintaining and improving
processes is demonstrated by plans to enhance our product quality, reliability and
manufacturability. The purpose of this notice is to inform you of a product change.
Product(s) Affected: PBO-1, PBO-1-B, PBO-3, PBO-3-B, PBO-5, PBO-5-B Series
Reason(s) for Change: Improve production efficiency, product operation, and supply
chain stability
Description of Change: The pin design and assembly are being modified for improved
manufacturability; the size, length, and spacing of the pins will remain unchanged.
General improvements to the design and component selection may modify the aesthetics
of the units and support an extended input voltage range while maintaining pin-for-pin,
drop-in, backwards compatibility with the current production releases. The improved
design also unifies operating performance across affected product series to include:
• an extended input voltage range (85 ~ 305 Vac)
• an extended operating temperature range (-40 to +85 C), if required, with a few
external component changes as outlined in the products’ respective spec sheets
