Installing the Cellular Modem
1. Connect antennas to the antenna connectors.
2. Connect the USB connector to your computer, either
directly or through a hub or USB extension cable.
The USB connection powers the device and the POWER LED lights.
Remove and Replace a SIM Card
The device ships with a micro-SIM card (3FF) pre-installed.
To remove the SIM card:
1. Power down the device and disconnect the power supply.
2. Locate the SIM card slot on the side of the cellular modem.
The slot is labeled SIM.
3. Push the SIM card in, the device ejects the SIM card.
To replace SIM card:
1. Locate the SIM card slot on the side of the cellular modem.
The slot is labeled SIM.
2. Push the SIM card into the slot with the contact side facing
up as shown. When the SIM card is installed, it locks into
place.

Overview
The MultiConnect microCell (MTCM-LAT3) is a compact communications
platform that provides cellular capabilities for fixed and mobile
applications. It is intended for use in settings such as vending, smart
parking, medical, smart inventory tracking equipment and commercial
applications.

Connectors
The device has the following connectors:
USB - 1 USB connector,
SMA - 2 female SMA connectors, labeled CELL and AUX
SIM - 1 micro-SIM (3FF) slot, between the SMA connectors
LED Descriptions
The top panel contains the following LEDs:
POWER - Lights when the device has power.
LINK - Blinks when the unit is functioning normally.
SIGNAL - Three programmable signal LEDs do not function by
default. To control them, users need to write code.
Creating an AT&T IoT Marketplace Account
Create an AT&T IoT Marketplace account, if you do not have one:
1. Go to https://marketplace.att.com and click Login in the
upper right corner.
2. Click Create an account.
3. Complete the form and click Create Account.
AT&T sends an account activation email.
4. Go to that email and click Confirm your email and
activate your account.
5. On the AT&T IoT Marketplace page that opens when you
activate your account, click Dashboard.You’ll be prompted
to Create an AT&T Control Center Account.
You can also access the Dashboard by clicking Hello
[username] > Account Settings. Then click Signup for AT&T
Control Center.
6. Enter your phone number and shipping address.
7. Click the check box to agree to AT&T’s Terms and
Conditions, Master Agreement, and the AT&T Control
Center Wireless account creations terms of service.
8. Click Create Account.
Registering a SIM Card on the AT&T IoT Marketplace
1. Click Register SIM.
Note: If you do not have a SIM tied to this account, you may
be prompted to Buy more SIMs.
If not logged into the AT&T IoT Marketplace, log in and
select Management > Register SIMs.
2. Enter the 20 digit SIM ICCID from the device label. If
desired, enter a nickname to identify this SIM.
3. Click check boxes to agree to AT&T’s Terms and
Conditions and Prohibited Activities.
4. Click Register SIMs.
This activates the SIM and adds it to your AT&T IoT Marketplace
Dashboard. It is ready to use.
Downloading Drivers
Note: Install drivers on your computer before connecting the MTCM
device.
Driver installation instructions for both Windows and Linux are included in
the USB Driver Installation Guide (S000616) available at
https://www.multitech.com/brands/multiconnect-microcell.
For Windows, drivers are available under Downloads at
https://www.multitech.com/models/92504392LF.
For Linux, follow the installation instructions in the USB Driver
