Parker Hannifin Corporation REACH Declaration Statement for Products which are Articles

November, 2008

In accordance with the provisions of the Regulation E C 1907/2006 on Registration, Evaluation,

Authorisation (and Restriction) of Chemicals (REA CH ), this statement applies to all Parker Hannifin

products unless specifically excluded below. A recipient of this Declaration can a ssume that the products

received by recipient from Parker Hannifin are not excluded and meet the criteri a of the certification

below. A recipient can only pass through this certification to a downstream re cipient for the same

products. This certification is null and void if this requi rement is not met.

As per Regulation EC 1907/2006, Parker Ha nnifin is the producer or supplier of articles. The se articles

are objects that have a specific shape, surface or design which determines its function to a greater

degree than its chemical compositio n. These articles do not have intended rele ases of substances during

their normal use or under fore seeable conditions of use. These articles may (1) contain small quantities

of substances such as oils, waxes, lubricants from production, (2) release substances during their normal

and intended use as an unavoidable side-effect of the functioning of the article, (3) have a release during

the maintenance of the article meant to improve the product quality or safety or (4) have a release due to

an unintended use, use beyond normal li mits, accident or failure. All of these examples of releases are

unintentional and thus exempt as per the applicable definitions and guidance documents for Regulation

EC 1907/2006.

Parker Hannifin declares that our products are exempt from registration or pre-registration obligations

required in Regulation EC 1907/2 006. Preparations or Articles with Intended Releases produced or

supplied by Parker Hannifin are specifically excluded from this Declaration Statem ent. Since conditions

of use are outside Parker Hannifin’ s control, Parker Hannifin makes no warranties, express or implied,

and assumes no liability related to any use of this information.

All Fluid Connector and Instrum entation products and product families (hoses, tubing, cables, fittings,

couplings, adapters, valves, regulators, meters, controllers, pumps and asso ciated assemblies and

systems containing these components) and,

All Hydraulic and Automation products a nd product families (pneumatic, electromechanical and hydraulic

components, sensors, manif o lds, accumulators, pumps, motors, power u nits, actuators, controls,

cylinders, valves, and associate d assemblies and systems containing the se components) and,

All Filtration products and product families (various pleated, wound, bag, tubular and media filled filters,

gas separation equipm ent, gas generators and associated assemblies and systems containing these

components) and,

All Aerospace products and product families (compon ents and systems for electronics, fluid control,

hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, coolant and control systems) and,

All Climate and Industrial Controls products and product families (accumulators, controllers, driers,

valves, hoses, fittings, distributors, heat exchangers an d associated assemblies and syste ms containing

these components) and,

All Seal products and product families that are finishe d products in an application speciifc fina l shape and

form in a cured state.

Parker Hannifin Products Excluded in this Certification:

Preparations of uncured compounds, partially cured compounds, or compounds not in final shape or form

for the production of a finished Seal product or Ho se/Tubing product and,

All liquid, pastes, glues, gels or other semi-liquid pro ducts.
